If I remember right 25'x35' are my smaller breeding pens. Another at 35'x50' another at 50'x50' another at 50'x100' those are all netted tops. My open large pen is about 1/4 acre that is attached to an about 3-acre pasture with just the white 4 tier split level fence.

How big are the pens?

I'm going to check on Friday when I set the third batch. I set another 10 last Friday

I candled all the eggs this morning. Out of 20, 2 were definite clears and one looked clear but has only been in for a week so I'll pull it next week if it still looks clear. The rest all had dancing poults or veins I also have ameraucana eggs in there and only 1 of them was clear too so we off to a good start lol

As long as they all hatch out well I set another 9 eggs this morning. I miss having early poults. The last two years, the girls didn't start laying till later. I love little poults and I'm getting excited for them

Yes, just love spring hatching around here also.

Before I left the house this morning, there were 4 poults and 1 chick all stumbling around in the hatcher! I'll be sure to share pictures once they're all in the brooder

First babies of the season! There's one more little black poult in the bator drying off. I have to check the rest of the eggs but I'm pretty sure they're done for this week.
