It seems that one of the major difficulties of incubating eggs is knowing what the temperature really is inside the incubator. Here is a document that I wrote that tells you step-by-step how to make a really accurate thermometer. It takes a little soldering, but not a lot; someone you know can put this together for you. And best of all, it's cheap...maybe under $10. One of the parts has to be ordered, but a few of you can get together and order some as a group to save on shipping and handling.
