A dream come true-classes on chickens

    Today, i will be attending a class on raising backyard chickens.[​IMG] I'd never heard of this kind of thing till my friend emailed my and told me all about it, and now we're going together!! [​IMG] I hope it will teach me lots of new stuff... [​IMG] It should be useful... has anyone heard of this before?

    No, It sounds like there is alot of interest tho , for someone to have a class on it.

    The Seattle Tilth offers a couple different chicken classes (101, 201, and coop building). Seattle is cool like that. [​IMG]

    We've got a workshop coming up here in Salt Lake City next month. Chickens are sweeping our city like a feathery tsunami! [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]

    Learn the basics of chicken care and how it can happen in the city. We'll cover SLC regulations, coops, breeds, and basic urban chicken care.

    The Denver Botanical Gardens holds classes to teach people how to raise chickens in their backyard.

    I think it's a great idea and am glad that our city encourages city chickens!
