Pretty sure this chick got squashed funny in the shell or stepped on immediately after hatching. Eats fine and runs all over after his broody mom.

But he looks SO RIDICULOUS with his crooked and smashed face. Hoping its a girl so it can stay on here at reject ranch as a layer.

I have one the broody pecked the heck out of when he hatched and he is still one of my favorites! We call him "little man".

okay, i see what you are talking about now.
    i love it.
but maybe cause i am a mom.
i think it is beautiful and special.
will you keep us updated on this lovely bird.

and the "mom" seems to be asking (while baby is cuddled up with her)
"AND?!?!?! What are you lookin at?!?!?!? My baby? Don't make me come over there and stomp on you!"

Your chick is lovely....looks so proud.

I have a 'squashed' chick who is now 15 weeks old....Twistedbum is a Blue Partridge Brahma pullet with beautiful colouring but her right wing droops down and her rear end is ....well...twisted. She does not seem to have a proper tail either.Initially she was smaller than the rest but has caught up with them, she runs well, flies well and otherwise behaves totally normally. I am sure your chick will too,

    I think he is adorable!
I also think you should name it Gonzo!
I have a hen that looks just like his mom!!!! I have been trying to figure out what she is. Does she have feathered legs/feet?

Well the chick went missing......i will have to spend some time looking tomorrow but I have noticed it peeping an awful lot lately and momma doesnt seem all that intereted in taking care of him anymore. Not sure if he died in the yard somewhere or if the hawk finally got it....or if I have just missed seeing him since there are so many chickens.
