A female Nubian goat question?

I have a female Nubian goat that just gave birth 3 to 4 weeks ago. Today while feeding her I noticed a little blood on her tail. My question is do goats have menstral periods? I am hoping that this is all it is.

I bought her already pregnant so I have no previous experience before that.

I am no goat expert but I would assume they are like other warmblooded animals that they will bleed for a couple weeks after birth till things get back to normal. Just like humans after they have a baby.
Or she could be in heat.

I kind of thought so too but I wanted to make sure so I didn't possibly overlook a health issue. Im a guy we are not that familar with that stuff.

seemingly normal after giving birth.. there will be discharge some of it looking bloody at times.. just keep eye on things and watch for abnormal behavior, odor, goat acting "off" etc..

she is acting great, that is why I thought I might be right about the female thing. Just wasn't sure if goats were like people. Thanks

Yeah, my doe had bloody discharge for almost 3 weeks afterwards. We were gonna call the vet, and then she stopped. She's just fine, and I'm sure your girl will be too. Enjoy!

About a week after the birth a doe will start to have a bloody type discharge. It can last a couple of weeks - it's normal.
