well.. How old? Need body shots... But I'd guess girls near laying age...

or, cockerels.

Get full chicken shots so we can see saddles and hackles.

The first is a male Gold Comet (ie cinnamon queen/red star/red SL) The second is most likely a hatchery RIR. I'm guessing male from stance, but they're hard to pin down.

How old are they? I think I see hackle feathers on the red (indicating rooster), but I'm not sold on the whitish one. It could be a POL pullet.

they both have pointed hackles i can see them in the first 2 pics which would make them both cockerels

I think both roosters. The first is a red sex link and will get more red on the shoulders. The second is a rhode island/production/whatever you want to call a generic red rooster.

They are a little less than a year old.

How long you have them? I'd see if you get any eggs then. Those combs seem on the small side if they are that old. The tail are small, more like a hens, none of the pretty streamers you get with cockerels. So, going to go with my original guess then with them being just under a year. AND if they were cockerels, you would know. They'd be crowing.
