Is she an Andalusian X polish cross? Interesting the way her comb turned out.
Don't know, may be some kind of Americauna mixed with polish?
She was attacked by a hawk today and lost an eye. Will put her down tomorrow. May be chicken soup
Poor girl.. She looks like an Andalusian/Polish
Sorry about your girl, darn hawks. How bad are the rest of her injuries? Chickens can recover from some pretty bad ones.
Good news, she will live. Put some medicine on the injury around the eye. Some antiseptic on her back where the claws went in. I can tell that she has some part of jungle fowl in her. Being over 3 years, she fought pretty well. Was running around today and both eyes are perfect. Someone said she is part Sumatra and that could be right. She loves sitting high in the trees....
I guess so, polish has v-comb and combination of v and single could make this kind of shape....
I would agree with the Polish and Andalusian mix, she also makes me think of an Old Polish Crested except for the earlobe color. http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGK/OldPol/BRKOldPol.html
Thank you. I have examined her head may be three times and can not find the crest. These pictures are very interesting. My bird looks very small compared to these hens
