A little early to tell but please help breed and gender

    I am thinking this is a Barred Rock but after looking at some of these threads now I'm not sure. I also swear it is a roo but everyone else is finding reasons to disagree.Do BR chicks have combs like this at 3 weeks old? Please let me know what you think.[​IMG][/IMG]

    That is definitely a little cockerel.

    He's not a pure barred Rock, if he were he'd be much lighter overall and have clearer barring. He's a mix, either parent could have been a Rock but the other parent was something else. That accounts for the darker overall coloring and muddy barring pattern.
