A Little Off Topic ....... Sucker Run is On!

    Here in michigan the Sucker run is On in Omer Michigan!!!!! I know these aren't pets and livestock per se, but they are Soooooooooooo easy to catch, clean and eat [​IMG] that I know if any of you haven't done this before, it's a great way to fill the freezer for warmer months to smoke or can these wonderful tastey er......... carp. [​IMG]


    I'm a hillbilly and I love it!!!!!!!!!!

    I think it's Carp, a type of freshwater fish.

    Yes, sucker is a migratory carp, they are a kinda that doesn't have mudvaynes throughout their body. I dont know if it is a regional thing or what, but when the steelhead start running, so do the suckers!!!!

    This isn't a snipe hunt. I plan on filling my freezer with smoked fish, and canning some. When you're done canning, it sort of tastes like tuna fish.
