A mixed bunch! What could they be?

As with many new and first time chick owners, I am super curious what we have!! We got our half dozen at TSC (Hoover’s). They said they are a mix of “colored egg layers”. They are a little over a week old. Four are a brown variation of colors and two are white/yellow. The brown one pictured is Cleo, the other three brown ones are similar to her in different shades. The yellow one pictured here, was suggested to be a polish as there is a little tuft of fluff on her head- hard to tell here of course. Then BB (Big Bird) pictured on the water feeder is the largest of all of them. She is yellow with some bright and pepper looking colors coming in, and has a golden head. Her legs are really large compared to all the others though…. Any thoughts and ideas? Thank you all!! I can’t wait to see what we have- although I am so nervous to end up with cockerels as we aren’t allowed to have them here.

All appear to be EEs. Colored egg layers from TSC would consist of mixed breeds produced to lay colored eggs. Essentially all Easter Eggers. Once they feather in and mature a bit more, we may be able to see if there are different named types in your batch though. Green Queens, Starlight Green Eggers, Olive Eggers, etc.

Ohhh, so Easter Eggers are a mix of all kinds of chickens? Is it about 6 weeks or so to see what they start turning into?

Easter Eggers are a mix of a breed that lays blue eggs and another breed. Some are a mix of other Easter Eggers.
