A new 'mother hen' and loving it!

Hey! This is a great site and so glad it's here. Often I feel like I talk too much about my chickens to other ppl and they get bored-but not here! This is such a welcome site!

DH and I are the proud parents of 9 pullets who were born March 17-Althea, Stella, Alice, Dixie, Cherise, Peckle, Evangeline, Louise and Wednesday, a rescue rooster-Bobby and his woman, Big Mama. It's been a lot of fun so far, and I could spend hours watching them and hanging out with them. The little ones are at the stage where their voices are changing and it's so cute!

We live in Georgia, metro Atlanta, and it's been HOT!!!!

I look forward to learning from everyone here and sharing my newfound love of chickens!

from the California coast. It has been cool here. No real summer yet. I agree, you can always find someone to talk "chicken" here and yes, they are fun to watch! Best of luck with your pullets!
