I have a lovely red silkie that turned out to be a rooster. My kids love him and don't want him to go.
He crows a lot, randomly through the day. He's a bit of a show off, I think. My neighbors said it's no problem, but still...
The reason he's got to go is because he like to jump up on me! He leaves the kids alone, and he's fine with my husband, but for some reason, he always wants to protect the other hens from me - the person who cleans their yard and feeds them every day. Go figure.
Anyhoo, since I promised the kids I'd find him a new home (that wasn't in my stewpot), here I am on BYC looking for a home for Mick.
We are in Southern Maryland.
