[IMG] Has anybody ever seen a buzzard (brown vulture) nest?

I was wondering about this today as I was driving. I've seen hawk nests, but never a buzzard nest. Is there a reason why?

You know, that is a very good question!!! I see them every day when I am out and about, but always just setting in a tree with no nest in sight . . .anyone out there know?

    I don't think they hatch.
    I think they just are.

Quote:Hey, I remember that! Wonder if they even build a nest... maybe they just find an existing place. Like the hole in a tree?

I've heard they nest on the ground like turkeys and if you come upon a nest, you'll smell it before you see it. Smells like carrion..at least, that's what I've been told.
