Is that normal??? The silkies didn't seem to mind, but the pigeon (which is a white indian fantail) was following them around everywhere and trying to feed them (by vomiting)[IMG]
She doesn't have a mate and does lay eggs and also tried to mother my fully grown african ringnecks!!!!! I think she gets lonely...[IMG] does anybody else have this , uh, problem?

The poor thing is just lonely and hormonal. [IMG]

I've heard of this before, but it hasn't happened to me. I was actually watching a show on Animal Plant, and there were mother penguins who would steal other mother's babies because their own got lost or died. It was really sad, but it sounds related to your situation. Perhaps she's just desperate to become a mother. If you don't have the room for another pigeon (male, to keep her company), then I suggest just letting her care for the silkies.
