? about barred rock bantams

    I have some barred rock bantams not quite ready to start laying. Just wondering if anyone knows how broody they become. Hopefully they do, but didn't know. They sure are pretty birds..[​IMG]

    No idea... it will vary bird to bird, strain to strain, as well as breed to breed.

    I have about 15 barred rock adults (not bantams) and they dont seem to go broody at all, at least none of them did this spring !!!!! I dont belive they are known to be broody often, if your looking for a good broody chicken get a few silkies, they will go broody often.
