My silkie is raising 3 white crested black polish chicks, 2 weeks old. They are from Ideal, straight run.

Today I noticed that one of the chicks has a black band on it's beak, the other two have solid white beaks. Does this say anything about their gender?

I only know brahmas. Alot of times you can make a reasonable guess about a LF brahma chicks gender by the amount of black on it's beak as a chick. Was just wondering if the same could be said for polish.

NO hatchery haters please! TIA [IMG]

Haven't a clue about the Beatles, but you'll be happy to know that at least 2, more likely 3, of my 5 newly hatched Marans are roosters. [IMG]

Sure would like to know about these three. Something else, I'm not sure they are white crested black either. Will have to do some picture surfing today.
