This thread will help you with abbreviations.
Any questions about forum rules, how to post pictures, abbreviations, etc. can be see in the FAQ's section.
Oh, is that another kind of floor covering or something they eat like oyster shells. I've never heard of it before.
To answer your question, DE refers to Diatomaceous Earth.
Some folks swear that DE cuts down on mites, lice, and internal parasites, but I have found it utterly useless.
Here is a link about what DE is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diatomaceous_earth
It means you posted the same question twice, which confuses things. If your reread the rules you see it discouraged, as well as cross posting, which would be if you had posted the same question in 2 different topics.
It takes a while to get used to forums, but welcome to BYC, one of the best around!
Take some time to read the FAQs as well, you won't believe the amount of info there. There are two links to what all the abbreviations mean. DE, by the way, is diatomaceous earth, food grade though, NOT pool grade.
Thank you for the info and sorry for the rookie mistake and confusion. I promise I'll get better.
No sweat, we were all rookies at one time.
