Abscess? Wound? Cancer?

Pepper has a small, hard yellowish scabbed spot above her left nostril. It looks like it has a fistula below it. Slightly swollen though not extremely tender. Nothing abnormal in her mouth but she seems to be having slight respiratory distress. But maybe she’s hot. Perky, normal appetite, etc. What is this? How do I treat it? Doesn’t match pox, canker, or other threads.

Personally to me it looks like an abscess/piece of pus. I'd treat it like that first before assuming cancer. Try to (gently) push it out. If it comes out, flush the wound really well and fill it in with antibiotic ointment. If it doesn't come out, then you can start looking at other things.
