Absolutely Amazing!! to me!

This is too cool! It is the second night that my chicks are sleeping outside in the coop. I actually have the cage from the house in the coop at this point because I want them to be in something familiar. Now night is falling and they all went back up our little ramp into the cage in the coop. I know that this may be usual chicken behavior, but it is not usual to me. I LOVE this!! They are so cute!!!

Hooray!! How exciting! They grow up so fast, don't they?

Don't feel strange, I got really excited when my chickens did that too.

So much of what they do as chicks and adult chickens is amazing. Did you know hawks have prime feeding times during the mornings and again in the evening. I free range my flock. Betcha money you can't find even one of my chickens during those times. They stay hid. Oh and the other thing. They learn to recognize the difference between crows just being crows and making a nonsense racket and crows making a racket cuz they are chasing a hawk. With the latter noise, my chickens all skiddaddle.
