accurate sexing?

how accurate is the method of grabbing the legs?i heard that if it is a pullet it will go limp.if it is a cockerel it will try to peck.my big girls go limp but i dont have a grown rooster to try this on.

Honestly, it's just an old wives tale. I have tried that method over and over again along with my sexing methods. I've been correct 99% of the time whereas the leg method gets it about 50% of the time. (Which is where you'd be if you didn't try sexing them at all.)
