ACK! I Opened the Bator!

One chick managed to hang himself by the neck from a wire hanging from the top of the LG. He was screaming- I heard him from a different floor of the house. He wasn't freeing himself so I reached in and grabbed him. Hope I didn't screw up the rest of the hatch. Wah!

Wow that definately is a good excuse to open the bator! I hope he's ok. Is there anyway you can fix the wire so no more chickies get hurt?

I am sure you didn't ruin the hatch,just spray the bator with a squirt bottle.

I forgot about spraying- thanks! I can't fix the wire now, without chilling them, but I sure will before I set the next batch of eggs! It never occurred to me that this could happen. I wonder if other LG's have that wire hanging from the top? this chick is just crazy active. Her name is Lunachick.
