The 4 red commercial reds are a bit bigger than the cuckoo marans I bought today to replace a red lost to a predator. The cuckoo is hiding in a bush, but I put a waterer and food plate next to the bush for her. Tonight should I "force" the new hen into the pen so it is safe from predators or let her hide in the bush?

They may try to beat her up or even kill her. She will need to be protected for awhile. I wouldnt leave her in a bush, she might be killed. She nees to get settled in and feel safe. Introduce her to the others when you let them out together in a couple of weeks, then slowly put them together.

I would put her in the coop. They are not going to hurt her in the dark, but something outside certainly might.
