Added run to prefabricated coop from TSC

I wanted more shade and grazing space for my 4 chickens when I’m not home, so I added a 3’6” x 8’ run to the existing one from Tractor Supply.

I used 1x6 for roof, 2x2 for structure, and 2x4 for supports. I later added the 1/2” hardware cloth around the inside walls. Also 2x3 wire mesh for apron to keep the foundation secure from digging predators.

Great thinking to increase run space! Perhaps if I get my own house with a very small yard, I would think of this way as backup to provide more room for a pair of two.

Ive got the same coop and added rin to it. Got an incredible deal on it payed 249.00 last year for it. I started adding on to it finished to day will update pic .You did a great job on it
