Tangent alert. I started a hatching thread for our first go-round with silkies..... and one brown egg that was layed in the middle of the run one day & I just picked it up(still very warm but dry) and sat it next to the silkie eggs and forgot to remove it as well as *initially label the date* on the eggs.
