When would be a good time to add my other chicks2 (4 weeks older then my new ones) to my new group of chicks 5 (4 days old) ? I would like to get the group together so it would make taking care of them easier and they will be hanging out together later anyway. [IMG]

Try them together for short periods of time and see how they do together. If they seem to be fine with just a little pecking going on, then it should be fine.

It could get pretty messy if not surpervised closely. 4 day olds don't know too much and 4 weekers are just getting to the bulling stage. I personally would give the young ones more time before putting them in with older chicks.

ok, so how long should I give the youngest ones before I mix the older ones in with younger ones?

I had 3 5 week old chicks and I put my new 1 or 2 week old chicks in with them and they did fine.

ok, thanks for the helpful advice. I guess I will give these little ones a couple of more days before I put their soon to be friends in with them. [IMG]
