I have just recently got 3 hybrids for the first time ever, and I am really enjoying it. They been doing really well, they are not laying yet as when I bought them they were only 18 weeks old. Anyway my dad bought me another chicken as a gift because I love them so much. He didn't know much about introducing a new chicken, I have only read some bits in a book. The first day they chased it around and now they all seem to be getting on okish. What I would like to know is, the new hen I got is 18 months old and is obviously laying, I've had her only 2 days but would like to know if all this would stop her from laying and how long would it likely to be?

Thanks for help in advance :)

The reason she's not laying could be from the stress of the new environment and being introduced to a new flock. [IMG]

Thanks. How long is it likely to last? Thanks

  4. It depends on how long it takes them to get comfortable and acclimated!!
