I have 3 BR (8 weeks) and 2 Leghorns (9 weeks) They are all the same general size. I put them together in a new cage about 2 weeks ago. All was fine, put them into their own run. I also have 1 PR, 3 GL, and 2 EE (7 weeks) that have been in dog crate in the garage. Today before I let the BR/LH's out I put the younger ones in the run. I then let the BR/LH into the run and it reminded me of highschool, the "freshmen" AKA the 7 weekers, got too close to the "upper class men" AKA 8/9 weeekers they would "beat them up." There is only a one week difference between the BRs and the young chicks, the LH do not fight. But is this normal? The BR/LH have only been in the run for less than a week. They are not hurting each other though, Just a little peck to make them go away
