Adding to my flock

I am new to BYC but have read hundreds of posts while building and starting my endeavor . My flock now consists of one mama chicken and two of her 6 month laying babies. I now want to add 3 or 4 more 5 months olds to my little flock. After quaruteening them will I still need to house them separately beside the others before putting them together? When the addees outnumber the old girls will there still be war??? Thank you so much for u

If you place them close enough where they can hear and see each other for a week or so, it will make the introduction much easier. Still, you need to be around to watch them for a few hours. This is the way my family did it when I was growing up, and it continues to work for me.
