Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I didnt know where else to post it.

Is there anyway to add to the search feature..a opition for searching for posts made by a certain member? Or is it already there and I just dont know how to use it right? [IMG]

For example last night I was trying to find all post MADE by 'suzie'(made up). Post came up that 'suzie' had responded in, but Im looking for post only SHE made.

You can do author search. Did you try that yet?

Yeah I tried that, but it just pulls up everything they have ever posted in. Im trying to find threads only theyve made, not everything theyve posted in.

Its on the bottom left it says "sort by". Just click on it and it should say post, author and something else [IMG].

This is what I copied off the search.

Select how to view search results

Sort by Sort order Show results as

You can choose how you wish to sort and show your results.

You can find all posts by a member by:

    1) Click search
    2) Enter the member's name in "Author Search"
    3) Change the "Show results as" to POSTS

That will bring up all their posts!

Quote:I must still be doing something wrong. I dont get it. [IMG] I did just as above and it still shows everything else.

For example.. I click on 'search' above in the 'author' box I type 'havi' go down to the 'sort by' box and click on 'author'. That brings up everything Ive ever posted in. I want just the threads someone has posted, not just post they have made.

Thanks everyone and sorry for being a pain in the rear.

Sorry, I changed my text to:

Change the "Show results as" to POSTS

Make sure you show as posts for it to work.
