Addition to our family

    Well we finally got some chickens. Two assorted bantams and 5 pullets, but I think one of the 5 might be a Rhode Island Red. Since the chickens have been home they have had a constant visitor as you can see. My lab just loves them. But they are eating and drinking well. I'm going to put a roost in there for them today, might be a bit early for it but I figured why not.

    Cute pics! My dog would watch mine when they were little like that. He wanted to chase them when they got bigger. Don't know if he would have intentionally hurt them or not. After being pecked a couple of times he gives them a wide berth when outside with them.

    Aww look how tiny your bantams are! [​IMG] My lab watches ours too. We make jokes that she thinks we are warming up nuggets for her. I'm afraid she might hurt them if she got the chance so we watch her close and keep them separated at night and if we're not home. Better safe than sorry. Super cute chickies you have!
