I still have to wait a while for my chicks to arrive (may26) but I'm trying to do all my research and set up the brooder early because I have a lot of other things to concentrate on too. But I was wondering if anyone else has tried and been successful in adopting their hatchery chicks to one of their hens? I have two hens right now, one I think and have been told is a red sex-link, the other I think is a black giant. And I literally just thought that if it were possible maybe I could try and adopt the chicks to one of my hens? Any opinions or tips?

It is possible to foster chicks to a hen, but the hen must be broody before that can be accomplished.
