My sister-in-law has a pair of hens hanging around her house. She found out that their owner had moved and left them behind. She's been feeding them and they stay around. So she found a coop and run for them. Naturally, they don't want anything to do with it. They'll hang around the house all day and hide in the bushes, eat the food she puts out, but no dice on the coop.
Is there any way, short of a net, that she can entice them into the run? I told her once they come in, she can shut the door until they adopt the coop, then she can let them free range again. Any thoughts?
