My Buff Orpington hen is over a year old and seems to have suddenly developed a crooked beak. She doesn't seem to be in any discomfort nor does she miss out on food. She is the only bird that ever bites me to get my attention. Should I be looking for something here or is this just chicken life? Seems odd it happened sort of suddenly. I am not aware of any injuries unless the mating rooster hurt her. She has lost a lot of feathers from his attentions. I need to put the apron back on.
    Any comments?
    thank you

I have never heard of sissor beak forming on adult birds. I have seen injured beaks. Not sure.
