Everything I've read says that Barring is only retained on a small part along the sides and under the wings once Scovies molt into adult feathering. Well, my Charlotte is a 1yr. old Black/White Barred Muscovy hen. Her barring has only increased as she has molted out appearing across her back and intensifing along her sides . I personally believe that it may be due to the white head gene but have not found any research posted to confirm. If any one has pictures of adult barred Scovies who have retained their barring please post some pics. Thanks! And here is a pic of one of Charlottes barred offspring.
