Advice!! Beef Grower???

So at my feed store you go in and request your items and pay at the counter, then take your receipt to the warehouse and the guys load it in your vehicle for you. I went about three weeks ago for chicken grower. I thought it seemed dustier than usual and wondered if the bag had been pounded around a bit or what had happened, but it looked he same otherwise so I didn't really give it a second thought. Today I noticed the tag and it's BEEF GROWER! They must have grabbed me the wrong bag! So it's Sunday and they're closed so I can't get new chicken feed until tomorrow. Is it going to have hurt the chickens to have been eating beef grower for three weeks??? What should I feed them today? I gave them some bird seed with sunflowers in it and some strawberries so far.

If you've been feeding it for 3 weeks. I would go ahead and finish feeding it but adding some grains and seeds won't hurt. It is a bit low in protein for chickens and is formulated for ruminants rather than mono-gastric animals.
How old are your birds. If they're young, at 15% protein, your birds may need a protein boost in some way. Perhaps with meat or fish. If they're close to maturity, 15% is fine.

When you get your chicken feed, you can mix the two at perhaps a 3:1 ratio of chicken to beef grower.

What country are you in? That sounds like a Central American process for buying feed.

Always read the label before you walk out of the store.

Without being able to read the tag, my biggest concern would be all the hormones, antibiotics and other growth enhancers it "should" have in it. I would put it to the side and return it. For today, clean the pantry and freezer out. Rolled oats, frozen vegetables, stale breadx bird seed...

It's been nearly 40 years since I raised cattle but I wasn't aware that cattle feed now had hormones, antibiotics and other growth enhancers in it. Or that it should be in there. I doubt it.
We never fed anything with that stuff before - and never needed it.
