I have 3 hens that are laying right now. Two of my hens lay in the hen boxes perfectly fine (needed no help to learn that is where the eggs go); but I have one hen that will lay in the middle of the coop right in front of the coop door which if she walks 2 feet she will be standing in the hen box. She has lay in the coop twice: once being her starting and the other time was because of a snow storm (I did not let them out) but she made her own area to lay.

I keep the hen boxes clean and fluffy for them to lay and be comfortable. I have never needed to place gold balls or fake eggs in the hen boxes because all my pass hen knew where to place the eggs and need no instructions. This girl is also my 3rd girl from my new group to start laying and I am at a loss on what to do. Please help. Thanks.

Could it be a case of the older birds do not let them in or try to chase them from a box how many birds do you have Please ? photos of the coop how many boxes all these questions

This bird obviously needs GOLD balls!
Just kidding, couldn't help but riff on the typo.

Fake eggs can help, I keep one in each nest all the time, to spread the love

How long has this girl been laying?
It can take up to a month for the new layers to get the hang of things.
