I have a lavender pekin who is 6 weeks old and 2 cream legbars that are 5 weeks old, they have been in there outside coop for 4 days, my problem is the temperature ie gona drop to 0c tonight, so should I bring them in or will they be ok? I have no way to provide heat to the coop, and it has been wet and coof for 3 days and they seem to be doing ok, but worried if it is gona hit zero

as long as they are fully featured they should be ok but take precautions by covering the coop

as main issue will be WET and WIND

keep them dry and out of the breeze

when you say zero
are you saying this in Fahrenheit

as that is 17C and i have kept chick in colder than 17C and they been fine as long as the coop is covered from Rain and Wind

oh my bad i see your in UK so you mean to say zero Centigrade

i raised chicken last year in uk winter and they where ok i kept a big duvet over the coop

Today is 7 down here and my 4 week olds are outside and its raining

make sure duvet does not cover all of coop leave the bottom open for ventilation and cover the top section
