Advice swollen eye.. swollen area around it..HELP

Applying warm rag to it i have been doing It has not helped yet... She woke up like this yesterday. She Has an appetite plus drinking water, but alot of fatigue.. sleeping alot..

I have VET RX, IF THAT WOULD HELP ?? OPINIONS, PLEASE! MY FELLOW EGGGSPERTS :/

I lost a chicken to symptoms like this the other day. She had a respiratory infection and I didn’t catch it in time. If she begins to eat lethargic, I recommend treating with Tylan50

DO NOT USE Neosporin or any Triple Antibiotic in an eye! Use Terramycin, I get it at my local Tractor Supply where they keep the non cold medications that are locked up, about $21.

Stick with it! Use at least twice a day and be sure to keep medicating even after it looks like it is clearing up. This is were I have gone wrong, I think, to stop too soon.

I would get the Tylan50 injectable from the cattle medicines in your feed store, but give it orally to your sick chicken. You will need a syringe and needle to draw up the medicine, but remove the needle to give it. Get a weight if possible, and give her 0.3 ml per pound twice a day for 3-5 days. I have used neosporin/triple antibiotic in my chickens’ eyes with no problem, but the Terramycin ointment recommended would be good. It is most likely mycoplasma (MG) which causes a sinus infection. Other causes for a swollen weepy eye are a peck wound, a foreign body in the eye, and coryza which smells bad and causes pus in the eye, cough, and wheezing.

Think its coryza... White stuff comes out stinky odor. Shes breathing almost like almost like Thought she was... passing gas, but its her breathing.. Thank you.
