Advise on raising chicks with the mama hen? LOTS of PICS!

One week ago I found this awesome BYC site as we cried out for advise. We thought the chick was stuck inside the egg cause we heard cheeping! OK obviously we are total newbies at all things chicken. We were given what i think are 8 Delaware chickens, the rooster was killed 28 days ago, so we let a broody hen sit out the 22 days. Now we have 3 cute chicks. I am using a heat lamp to keep their corner of the coop warm- I worry it may be wrong with a mama hen. I keep it at a height that seems comfortable for the chicks, they play under it and around it, returning to mama for comfort. She seems very calm and comfortable too. I read all the right temp. posts. just don't see many with a mama hen.
