Greetings from Kansas and [IMG]! Great to have you aboard! Sorry to hear about Aflac! When you say broken blood vessel - you mean internally and it caused a bruise? Where on his body? I'm not really sure what if anything should be done - if internal it will likely just heal on its own. You might ask in either the Ducks or Emergencies Forums in the next two links:
    https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/42/ducks
    or

Best wishes to you and Aflac!

So it's an open wound and bleeding? Top or bottom of foot?

No it's a broken blood vessel so it looks like a bruise on his foot[IMG][/IMG]

G’Day from down under aflacmy3rdson [IMG] Welcome!

Sorry, I do not know anything about ducks, just chickens but it does not look too serious to me.

As redsoxs has suggested, you could try the Duck Forum or ER Forum.

    Aflac is adorable!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. I've never raised ducks but as long as he is eating, drinking and pooping ok he's probably all right. For peace of mind, try posting on the links redsoxs gave you for some advice.

Best wishes to you and Aflac!
