My Big Red (our Rhode Island) laid her first egg on the 23rd of December and has given us seven eggs since - beautiful little brown eggs. But today's egg is a huge one! At least a Large or Jumbo! It is sooo beautiful! Go Big Red!

Now if Spot (our BR) and Whitey (our Leghorn) would just hurry up and start laying!

Big Red ate a ton of food yesterday - and it was mealworm treat day, too. I hope her eggs will continue to be this large, but as long as they continue, I'll be happy with them.
