I ordered my chicks from Meyer Hatchery in March for a late April delivery, but couldn't get the breed a friend was wanting, so they arrived the end of May which honestly worked out better, because we STILL don't have the chicken house in place. I have them in a hallway in my house, tarped off (desperate people, ya know!!) and we are doing fine. I have 9 Welsummers, 4 Columbian Wyandottes, 4 RIR's, 4 Salmon Faverelle's and 1 white Cochin. They are WONDERFUL. I have so much fun with them. . .can't wait to get them out in their new pen and house. I plan on selling the eggs just so I can buy their feed to start, and then we shall see!

How exciting...what a nice little flock you have there! Best of luck and wishing you well...oh yeah, and greetings from Oregon!
