after yhey hatch?

my wife said i had 1 chick to hatch last night around 10 pm. when i got home this morningat 7am i still only had 1 chick but now i have 7..... so what i am asking is i still have 18 eggs in bator and more pips the water tray is empty should i add more water? and do i take the hatched chicks out after they completely dry? thanks terry

Since you have pips, I would leave them in, but you need water in the tray...Do you have a straw or plastic tubing to snake through a vent hole, then add water without opening the lid?
