    Hi All,

I have 6 Buff Orpingtons all hatched the same day. First girl layed her first egg 30 days ago, this week the second started to lay, still have 4 hold outs, one of which has a very small light red comb still. Is this normal for 6 hatched the same day to be so different with maturation times? I am a newbie to the backyard chicken thing!! Thanks for any feed back.[IMG]

    Perfectly normal. They are individuals.

Do you remember the seagull in Little Mermaid? He asks Flounder, "Any kissing yet?" Flounder replies, "not yet!"
And in the perfect Buddy Hackett voice the seagull replies, "Huh.. Well they better get crackin!"

Don't you feel the same sometimes?
