Age?

Can anyone tell me what age they think these chicks might be? My guess is 2 weeks old but I'm a newbie to chickens and not quite sure. Thanks

Two weeks is a good estimate, give or take half a week. They look a little bit like buff orpingtons, but the stripes on the back of one of the chicks is not correct for buff orpingtons.

Thanks. Just want to make sure I'm keeping the heat lamp at the right temp. Though I mostly adjust it by how they sleep under it. We got them from tractor supply. I'm pretty sure they are either red or golden sexlinks.

Don't pay too much attention to the recommended 'guidelines', they are just a rough estimate really. Go by your chicks. Heat at one end, food and water at the other, and plenty of room for running around in between.

Thanks that's what I had been doing. Glad to know I'm on the right track. This is kinda like being a new mom all over again lol.
