    A friend of mine had 6 barred rock hens live to around 6 years but they were caught by a pack of Coyotes. Mine are 7 months, 1.5 years and a whole mess of chicks. 100 or so.

    They can rarely live to about 20.
    I think usually about 3.

    Does their lifespan depend on their breed? (New to this and trying to absorb all the information that I can) [​IMG]

    I'm not sure whether it depends on breed. And I'm not expert so I'm going to make an educated guess. I would say that it depends on a number of factors, including genetics and a number of environmental factors. Like all other creatures, I would imagine.
