I have been thinking my chicks were kind of puny for four weeks, so I checked the calendar and they only turned 3 weeks today! I don't know what I was thinking. Anyway, I have 2 black jersey giants (that seems to be the consensus) that constantly bow up at one another. They stretch their necks up tall and peck at each others' eyes.
I really watched them closer today and I noticed the one with the larger comb does this to all of them, but the other jersey is the only one who won't back down. I also noticed that the more aggressive one has a red comb and the other's is smaller and blends in with feather/down color. Am also beginning to see some red protruding from each side of it's (the more aggressive jersey)beak.
2 questions: is it likely that the aggressive one is a roo? How do I discourage this behavior? Should I? OK that's 3 questions
