Hi everyone! I'm not exactly brand new here, but I had only posted a few times after joining last year, until starting to post lots more this month!

Let's see...how do I describe myself? Well...three years ago a typical day of mine involved shopping in Beverly Hills for fancy shoes and cute clothes. Now I live on a small farm in Kentucky and I go out every morning to clean my pasty chicks butts with a toothbrush and warm water. And I wouldn't have it any other way!

My old office looked out over Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood and this one has a view of a 100-acre meadow. It's pure heaven. [IMG]

Welcome! I too used to live in the LA area (Miracle Mile), but after 9 mos I had to move. I likd my job, but I couldn't handle driving 45 minutes to go 5 miles on Wilshire Blvd. Well, that and I am a country girl at heart. [IMG]

100-acres?!? I am so jealous. Congrats on your new life!

Glad you are here. I think a lot of us have moved to the simpler life. Just to fill our time with gardens, chickens and chores.

oh no, we only have five acres! sorry about how I wrote that. The 100 acres I look at belong to my neighbor! but they're still awfully pretty. [IMG]

oh yes, the miracle mile that takes 15 minutes - or more - to drive!

the traffic was the big reason we moved to my home state of kentucky. at one point I lived in redondo beach and drove up PCH to my job in west hollywood, about 15 miles or so, and the drive took 90 minutes each morning. insane.
