I'm from Alabama and am planning on getting some chicks this spring. I've wanted chickens for as long as I can remember and have finally talked my husband into the idea. Actually, what I think persuaded him was that a friend from work gave us some fresh eggs from her chickens and my husband loved them! LOL Anyway, I'm trying to learn everything I can about chickens, decide on the lay out for the coop, and build the coop before I get the chicks. This website is unbelievably helpful. There is so much information about chickens it's almost mind boggling. We live on 25 acres and have two horses and five dogs. I look forward to learning so my chickens can be happy and healthy.
