No way did i take offence to it. Since i dont expect it to live, we can joke about it. Its sad but it's something you need to deal with every now and then. This will be the second time i've had to deal with a deformed chick. THe last one was a button quail egg so i didnt know it was deformed until it didnt hatch and i opened it up to see why....

I had some due 5 days ago, and on day 18 for them it spiked to 105 and only 4 hatched. I think it's less critical at a younger stage than near the end of it. MAybe?

looks like a normal chick to me on day 10-12. I candle all of my eggs and have done for almost 2 years and yes the dark blob moving around is a chick.
